My Design Journey
Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.
-Jim Rohn
Creativity runs deep in my family. My parents, a design-oriented mother and a father engineer and artist, inspired me from an early age to see the world as a space for creating and problem-solving. Growing up in Slovenia, I pursued art academically before discovering my true passion through renovating a 300-year-old apartment. That hands-on experience ignited my love for interior design, blending aesthetics with the technical challenges of remodeling.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in interior design in the U.S., graduating with honors, and have since worked on diverse residential projects across the country. Along the way, I’ve honed my skills in space planning, finish selection, technical drafting, and client collaboration, always approaching design as a seamless integration of form and function. Teaching interior design at Montgomery College—covering residential, commercial, and ADA-compliant design—has been incredibly rewarding, sharpening my communication skills and deepening my understanding of the discipline.
Early in my career, I was honored to win first place in a national NKBA kitchen design competition, a pivotal moment that boosted my confidence and affirmed my design approach. The competition challenged me to balance multiple design constraints while delivering compelling technical drawings and presentations—a skill set I continue to refine in every project.
What drives me most is the opportunity to transform spaces where people live and gather, creating both comfort and “wow” moments that improve daily life. I deeply enjoy the challenge of helping clients discover what they truly want and crafting solutions that are as functional as they are beautiful.
In recent years, I have increasingly expanded my focus toward product design—a natural and exciting extension of my interior design expertise. Through mastering 3D modeling, prototyping, and 3D printing, I have discovered a passion for creating products that blend functionality and aesthetics on a more intimate scale. This new direction allows me to approach design from a fresh perspective, bridging the macro world of interior spaces with the micro world of innovative, user-centered products.
Design Philosophy
At my core, my design philosophy remains constant: merging functionality and aesthetics without compromise, creating spaces and products that truly enhance everyday living.

Future Plans
Looking forward, I aim to integrate both disciplines of product design and interior design, using my comprehensive skill set to elevate my creative impact. Whether designing a space or developing a new product concept, my goal remains the same: to enrich people’s lives by creating thoughtful, beautiful, and practical designs that resonate deeply.
